The Howloween Party at Bar Rosso (put together by Carolyn of the YappyHappyHour)was a hit. Puppies and their parents came dressed to impress. From pirates to pumpkins, geishas to bumblebees, the pups came out in full-force to strut their stuff down the “pup-walk”! in her over-the-top style, performer Adora hosted the event, and emceed the Howloween costume contest, which was won by Captain Jackie and her pirate puppies. Leo Casino and Fabian Dominique (a.k.a The Dynamic Duo) played their hearts out to an overly appreciative crowd who danced and sang until the wee hours.

 
Residents and visitors were blown away (again!) by the great food served by Bar Rosso. With the new head chef, Ross Stern, at the helm, guests cam e back for seconds and thirds of his lightly fried Arancini goat cheese risotto balls. The sundried tomato salsa complimented the dish perfectly. Chef also presented Panna cotta spoons, which he topped with his new signature raspberry tapioca pearls. Events director and manager Courtney Stern was by his side making sure everything ran smoothly. The entire event flew by and left people raving and promising to come to Bar Rosso  in the very near future for good food and good times.

First Monthly Event at Local Eatery Will Benefit the Humane Society of Broward County

The Culture Club’s first monthly event, “A Bark to Remember”, an evening of Art, Food & Wine will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Aventura’s  favorite new eatery, Bar Rosso.  Located at 19004 NE 29th Ave. (behind Lowman¹s Plaza), the Vinoteca will offer a complimentary glass of wine, a chance to enjoy— and win—beautiful artwork from local artisans, mingle with like-minded people, and help save the animals. 

Presented by The Culture Club, a network of professionals, ages 25-55, in South Florida dedicated to raising funds and awareness for different not-for-profit organizations that have been drastically affected by the economy, this monthly celebration of life is bound for success. “Our goal is to inspire people through diversity of art and to create a viable networking circle in local restaurants and bars”, says Rachael Geiger, Marketing Director of Hype Events. “We chose to get involved with Bar Rosso because of the vibe the restaurant exudes.”

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the Humane Society of Broward County, which provides shelter, aid and responsible adoptions to animals entrusted to their care. Many people have been forced to give up their pets as a result to losing their homes. The growing number of homeless dogs and cats is staggering, and since they do not have their own voices, they need your help. When one person joins others who care, the power for change is limitless.

This event will feature art and craft artists of all mediums; as well as wine tasting and live music. The entry fee is $10, raffle tickets will be available for $5.
